Dunes

Part I of The Geography Cycle

Dunes is an EP and live experience pairing that synthesizes the storytelling powers of Electronic Dance Music and Contemporary Classical to immerse audiences in the unexpectedly groovy world of the sand dune.

Through 5 interconnected tracks—each inspired by the topographic patterns and characteristics of distinct sand dune systems from 5 different continents—Dunes transforms geomorphology into musical form.

I: Simpson Desert, Australia

The world’s longest linear dunes.

II: Badain Jaran Desert, China

Singing megadunes.

III: Lençóis Marenhenses National Park, Brazil

Ephemeral coastal dunes filled with rainwater.

IV: Sahara Desert, Algeria

Vast barchan dunes, sculpted by trade winds.

V: Great Sand Dunes National Park, USA

Massive star dunes at the foot of the Rockies.

Bring Dunes to life

Dunes is designed for both album release and immersive live performance, combining electronic media, live ensemble, and visual projection. We’re looking to collaborate with museums, science centers, and conservation organizations to co-present this premiere.
